A host of curriculae are available to the surgical educator in the instruction of medical students from years 1 through 4. This session aims to instruct participants on the incorporation of these open-format curriculum into their instruction of medical students, focusing mostly on the surgical clerkship. Current strategies and ideas will be shared on the incorporation of curriculae, such as the ACS/ASE Medical Student Simulation Curriculum, ACS/APDS/ASE Resident Prep Curriculum, the ACS/ASE Medical Student Core Curriculum, and WISE-MD. Brief presentations on curricular integration will be followed by 15-minute mini-sessions for the participant to work with curricular experts on opportunities for curricular integration and on recommendations for the logistics of delivery.
